Q2 2026 Release Notes: Key Improvements

Release note graphic for the Q1 2026 Release

This release focuses on making every day work in dbWatch more flexible, easier to understand, and simpler to troubleshoot. Alongside these improvements, we are opening beta testing on features inviting customers to help shape what comes next for PostgreSQL and auditing.

CRON Scheduling for Jobs and Pauses

dbWatch now supports CRON scheduling, making it easier for teams to configure jobs and pauses using a standard scheduling format that many Linux users already know.

Improved Security Group Handling

Working with Security Groups is now more intuitive, with a clearer interface for seeing which instances are already included when adding or removing instances from a group.

Improved Chart Readability

Charts with many categories are now easier to read, with category highlighting that makes it simpler to follow individual lines and compare data.

By hovering over a server, you highlight the memory usage. See the video below.

Help Shape our PostgreSQL Security & Compliance Features

We are also inviting customers to take part in early testing of new Security & Compliance functionality in dbWatch. This includes early access to PostgreSQL Security & Compliance features, which are currently under active development. This is an important first step toward broader Security & Compliance support for PostgreSQL, and customer feedback from real production environments will help us improve the functionality before a more complete offering is released later this autumn. Email us about beta testing and we’ll get you started after the summer holidays.

Beta Testers Needed for Auditing

The new Auditing Module is available for beta testing. This module is designed to give customers better visibility into database activity and support future audit and compliance workflows. We are looking for customers who are willing to test these features and share feedback with us. Customers who take part in beta testing and provide feedback will receive a 50% discount on the module for the first year of usage. Interested in joining the beta test? Email us about beta testing and we will help you get started.

Better troubleshooting visibility

This release includes improved visibility into network configuration issues, helping teams with larger or more complex dbWatch installations troubleshoot configuration problems more efficiently. As always, the release also includes performance and stability improvements across dbWatch. Read the full release notes on the dbWatch Wiki.
